|Rafferty for AG Launches TakePoliticsOut.com
HARRISBURG – The Rafferty for Attorney General campaign challenged Democratic Attorney General candidate Josh Shapiro to join John Rafferty in agreeing to take politics out of the Office of Attorney General by agreeing to not run for higher office.
“Today, I challenged my opponent, Josh Shapiro, to join me in pledging to take politics out of the AG’s office by promising not to seek higher office. We cannot afford to allow the Office of Attorney General to be used by candidates who simply see it as a stepping-stone for the Governor’s mansion.
“Our Commonwealth deserves a leader in the Office of Attorney General who will be laser-focused on fixing the mess that has been created by the scandals and political agendas of the past four years. Pennsylvania needs an Attorney General who will put politics aside and work towards ensuring the public’s safety and prioritize making Pennsylvania a safer place for our families and is committed to rooting out corruption and fraud.”
In order to build public support to take politics out of the Office of Attorney General, the Rafferty for Attorney General campaign launched a public petition at www.TakePoliticsOut.com.

While the debate in the Democratic race for Attorney General focuses on the lack of experience of their candidates, I am committed to putting forward commonsense solutions to restore credibility, integrity and deliver real results to protect the people of Pennsylvania.
I have released my plan for addressing the current crisis regarding inappropriate behavior and emails in the Office of Attorney General. I want to set a clear course forward for how I would demand the next Attorney General, the Office of Attorney General and its employees represent the people of Pennsylvania in this important office.
